Welcome!

Welcome to our blog. I never really gave much thought to blogging until recently. Writing is NOT my thing and expressing what I am thinking/feeling has never been super easy for me. But so many people have asked us to keep them updated about our trip to London, England that I decided to give this a try. I can't promise a post every day, or even every other day while we are there, but I will do the best I can. At this point, we are unsure about wireless at the flat (Britain's word for apartment) and until we get to London, I won't know how close we are to an internet cafe or if there will be a place at Regents Park College (where we will be) for me to connect. But for now, my intention is to keep you updated through the blog world.
Today is our 25th Anniversary!!! What a ride it has been! We have lived in 2 different states (South Carolina and Kentucky) in 5 different towns/cities, served 5 different churches and now he is at the KBC. Working at the KBC, he serves as a state missionary in case some of you were wondering where I got the title for this blog. Throw in 2 boys, a daughter-in-law, and 2 dogs and you have our life in a nutshell. Our life has been so blessed by the God we love and serve. He is truly amazing!

Please be in prayer for us over the next month. We are leaving our youngest son at home to dog sit our pug, Chloe. He is also taking a class at IUS this summer as well as working, so traveling with us was not an option. Please be in prayer for him as well. I hate the thought of leaving him/them for a month but we are looking forward to this time as well. Also be praying for Darryl as he writes a book about something he has incredible passion for - Sunday School. Pray that God will bless this book and will give Darryl the right words to say so that many will come to know Him and grow in Him through Sunday School.

We leave this Sunday. Please pray for us as we prepare to be gone and for safe travel. Flying across the big pond is not my favorite thing in the world. Well, flying period is not my favorite thing.
